There’s no shortage of gorgeous views and challenging terrain in our great state of Virginia, which is one of the many reasons it’s ideal for ATV riding. Fredericksburg Motor Sports has rounded up some of our favorite places to ride a four-wheeler. Big Boys Playground

You’ll find Big Boys Playground conveniently located just north of Harrisonburg, VA. Take I-81 to Exit 251, where you’ll merge on US-11 north and continue for another 1.5 miles. You’ll find the park entrance located on the left. There’s access to all kinds of establishments in the area, including restaurants, lodging, and shopping centers.

If you and your buddies are looking for a place to ride that welcomes all vehicle types, you’ll have hit the jackpot with Big Boys Playground. You can ride ATVs, bikes, UTVs, SUVs, Jeeps, and more at this location. The 100-acre park is open daily all year long, but visitors should still call ahead. There’s a wide range of challenges to enjoy, like single track trails, rock gardens, mud pits, and much more.

Moto Cove

When you’re looking to take on a variety of rugged obstacles that vary from steep hills to deep mud puddles, check out Moto Cove in Gore, VA. From Winchester, you can take US-50 west for 12 miles. Turn left onto US-751 for another .4 miles and take a left (south) turn onto US-704. You’ll continue for 4.5 miles before turning left onto Route 683. Travel for another 1.5 miles until you reach the park entrance.

Moto Cove offers 38 miles of marked and rated one-way trails, which form four separate loops. There’s plenty of challenging terrain to be conquered, from loose chunk rock to boulders to deep trenches. You’re permitted to ride bikes, ATVs, and UTVs at this park. This property is also a full-service campground that offers campsites, RV hookups, a swimming beach, cabins, and much more. You’ll be pleased to learn that the ATV trails are open daily year-round.
